Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 8 oz cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs optional, for topping
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Filling:

  • In a medium bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Fill the Crescent Rolls:

  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  • Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll up the dough, starting from the wide end and tucking in the sides slightly to seal the filling.

Arrange on Baking Sheet:

  • Place the stuffed rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Add Toppings (Optional):

  • Brush the tops of each roll with melted butter.
  • If desired, sprinkle with breadcrumbs for added crunch.

Bake the Rolls:

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.

Garnish and Serve:

  • Garnish with chopped parsley for a pop of color.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Flavor Variations: Add cooked spinach, mushrooms, or diced jalapeños for extra flavor and texture.
  • Cheese Options: Swap cheddar for mozzarella, Swiss, or pepper jack for a different taste.
  • Spicy Kick: Mix a dash of cayenne pepper or hot sauce into the filling for a spicy twist.
  • Homemade Dough: If you prefer homemade dough, use puff pastry or biscuit dough as an alternative.
  • Crunchier Texture: Sprinkle sesame seeds or crushed crackers on top before baking for added crunch.
