1️⃣ Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease with butter or non-stick spray. This makes it easier to remove and slice the bars later.
Step 2: Make the Marshmallow Mixture
2️⃣ In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, stirring occasionally.
3️⃣ Add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth.
4️⃣ Stir in vanilla extract for extra flavor.
Step 3: Combine & Press
5️⃣ Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately stir in the Rice Krispies cereal. Mix quickly until all the cereal is coated in the gooey marshmallow mixture.
6️⃣ Gently fold in half of the pastel chocolate eggs so they are evenly distributed throughout.
7️⃣ Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan and use a greased spatula (or your hands with parchment paper) to press it down evenly.
Step 4: Decorate & Set
8️⃣ While the mixture is still warm, press the remaining chocolate eggs and pastel sprinkles on top for a festive look.
9️⃣ Allow the bars to cool and set at room temperature for at least 1 hour before slicing.
Step 5: Slice & Serve!
🔟 Once set, remove from the pan and cut into squares. Serve and enjoy these chewy, marshmallowy, chocolatey treats!
Notes
Don’t Overheat the Marshmallows! – Low heat is key to keeping the bars soft and chewy rather than hard.
Use Fresh Marshmallows – Stale marshmallows won’t melt properly and will affect the texture.
For Extra Chocolate Goodness – Drizzle melted white or milk chocolate over the bars before slicing!
Want a Fruity Twist? – Add freeze-dried strawberries or a handful of fruity cereal for an Easter rainbow effect!
Make Shaped Treats! – Instead of slicing into squares, use cookie cutters to make bunny or egg-shaped treats.
