Ingredients

  • 1 14.3-ounce package Oreo cookies
  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 12 ounces white chocolate or white candy melts
  • Green food coloring
  • Red heart sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Oreo Mixture

  • In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until finely crushed. Add the softened cream cheese and pulse again until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Step 2: Shape the Balls

  • Using a spoon or cookie scoop, portion the Oreo mixture and roll it into 1-inch balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until firm.

Step 3: Prepare the Coating

  • Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Add green food coloring a few drops at a time, stirring, until you reach the desired shade of “Grinch” green.

Step 4: Dip and Garnish

  • Using a fork or toothpick, dip each Oreo ball into the green chocolate, covering it completely. Place it back on the parchment-lined baking sheet, and while the coating is still wet, add a single red heart sprinkle to each Oreo ball.

Step 5: Chill and Serve

  • Refrigerate the Grinch Oreo Balls for at least 15 minutes, or until the coating is set. Serve these festive treats cold and enjoy their Grinch-inspired charm!

Notes

  • Keep Chocolate Smooth: If the chocolate thickens during dipping, add a bit of vegetable oil or coconut oil to thin it out.
  • Food Coloring: Use gel food coloring for a more vibrant green without affecting the chocolate’s texture.
  • Make Ahead: These Oreo balls can be made in advance and stored, making them a convenient treat for busy holiday preparations.
