Ingredients

  • 4 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups pretzel twists
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup Reese’s Pieces or M&M’s Halloween colors
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Halloween sprinkles optional

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine the Rice Chex cereal, pretzel twists, candy corn, mini marshmallows, and Reese’s Pieces or M&M’s. Gently toss everything together to evenly distribute the ingredients.

Step 2: Melt the White Chocolate

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.

Step 3: Coat the Chex Mix

  • Drizzle the melted white chocolate mixture over the dry ingredients in the bowl. Use a spatula to gently stir the mixture until all the pieces are coated with the white chocolate.

Step 4: Add Sprinkles

  • If you want to add extra festivity, sprinkle Halloween-themed sprinkles over the mix while the chocolate is still wet. This adds a fun, colorful touch and a little extra sweetness.

Step 5: Let It Set

  • Spread the mixture out on a sheet of parchment paper in an even layer. Let the Halloween Chex Mix sit for about 20 minutes, or until the white chocolate hardens. Once set, break the mix into chunks and serve!

Notes

  • Customization: Feel free to swap out the candies or add your own favorites like peanut butter cups, chocolate-covered pretzels, or other seasonal treats.
  • Allergy-Friendly: If you’re making this mix for a party, consider using allergy-friendly candies like nut-free M&M’s or substitute the white chocolate with dairy-free options.
  • Extra Crunch: Add some nuts, like peanuts or almonds, for an extra crunchy and salty twist.
