Sweet-Spicy Dragon Noodles

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz noodles lo mein or ramen
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup green onions chopped
  • ¼ cup shredded carrots

Instructions
 

Step 1: Cook the Noodles

  • Cook the noodles according to package instructions until tender. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, and sriracha until well combined.

Step 3: Sauté the Garlic and Carrots

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant. Add the shredded carrots and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until they begin to soften.

Step 4: Combine Noodles and Sauce

  • Add the cooked noodles to the skillet along with the sauce. Toss everything together for 2-3 minutes until the noodles are well coated and heated through.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  • Transfer the noodles to a serving dish and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot and enjoy the sweet and spicy flavors!

Notes

  • Adjust the Spice Level: Add more or less sriracha based on your spice preference. For an extra kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes on top.
  • Add Protein: This recipe is easy to customize with cooked shrimp, chicken, or tofu for added protein.
  • Noodle Substitutions: Lo mein and ramen work best, but you can also use rice noodles or soba for different textures.
